Drags and Gymkhana 2015 hosted by Club TT Motorsports In conjunction with major stakeholders TARDA and The County Of Machakos on the 4th and 5th of July 2015 was the most successful airport attack ever held in the greater East Africa since the late 80s. Masinga Airstrip and The Masinga Dam Resort witnessed a massive exodus of fans and supercars gracing the landing strip tarmac with great zeal in a race to clinch the hugely coveted Drag King and Gymkhana King titles.
Most of the vehicles crossed the vast Machakos Savannah and reached the promised land without any major mechanical or automotive casualties. The expected entry turnout was dominated by the All time favorite Subarus representing the JDM fraternity, with the Germans responding to the war cry with their impressive viking beasts.
The two day event will featured an exhilarating Saturday of quick response timed gymkhana where most drivers extruded the skill needed to complete the course in the specified shaving seconds with progressive attacks and the winner proving not all cars are straight line cars. The Super Extreme Sunday Drags matched up the best in tarmac street cars pegged against each other and the clock, in the ultimate battle of tuners driver skill and hardware. The speed festival ushered a serious contest that proved not only do most Kenyans spend time and money on their cars to attain mammoth gains in power, but also we have matured and have taken great strides into furthering the dream of motorsports through our daily drivers.
After the long event most, most Attendees decided to make camps and enjoy the beauty of The Masinga Dam and danced all night at the bush disco hosted by Club TT.
